Write Your Mind Workshops

Writing for Wellbeing in a Group Setting
Committing to dedicated time to write in a group makes it easier to leave outside stresses and concerns behind, and just focus on personal expression and exploration of self. It’s a little time to achieve some clarity and calm, facilitated by the fact that everyone there is doing the same thing, too.
You will be led through each writing activity in a non-judgemental atmosphere, and technique is unimportant - whatever you do is right for you. Sometimes all we need is a little guidance to help us use that creativity that exists inside us all to open up our potential. No previous experience is needed - anyone can do it. Remember - you never have to read out anything you have written, so you can write whatever you want! Should you choose to read any of what you've written out-loud, this sharing, and being heard by others in a respectful and reflective atmosphere can be very powerful - the observations of others can enable us to see things from different perspectives, to feel validated, or perhaps to find a new take on our fears, anxieties or beliefs.
Workshops are held in a tranquil period home set in quiet gardens in Lyndhurst in the New Forest. You will be free to wander about the garden in warm weather and find a spot to do some of the set exercises, if you choose. Lunch and refreshments are provided, with home-made cakes, and included in your workshop fee.

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.”

                                        William Wordsworth

Materials are also provided. All you need bring are an open mind and a willingness to give it a go!
